Loita Walking Safari

  • DAY 1. LOITA HILLS
    MORIJO
    Drive to Loita Hills with picnic lunch stop. Arrive evening at the camp site. Put up your tents followed by dinner and over night at the camp site

    DAY 2. LOITA HILLS
    OSUPUKO
    Day spent on trekking accompanied by Maasai guides
    On a walk through Loita Hills, one gets to experience a true African authentic natural environment which has remained unspoiled by human activities.

    DAY 3. LOITA HILLS
    ENKUTOTO
    Highlights:-
    Another day trekking with Maasai team.
    Walk through pristine primary forests which teem with indigenous flora and fauna. This walk takes you through a variety of landscapes which includes hills, rivers flowing with crystal clear water, deep forest canopies as well as open plains.
    Overnight at camp site.

    DAY 4. LOITA HILLS
    OL JOR
    Highlights:-
    Another day trekking with Maasai team.
    Discover various flora varieties and occasionally you may spot some monkeys including the rare Colubus Monkey
    Overnight at camp site

    DAY 5. RIFT VALLEY
    SHOMPOLE.
    Early morning we descent the Great Rift Valley. Mid morning we drive to Shompole camp site. Lunch. Afternoon game drives in the conservancy.
    Shompole conservancy is based at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This conservation area is owned and managed by the local Maasai community. Being a very hot area game drives are usually conducted early morning and late evenings when temperatures are conducive for wild life observation.
    Dinner and overnight at the camp site.

    DAY 6. SHOMPOLE/NAIROBI
    Early morning walk with the Baboons.
    There is a baboon research being contacted in conjunction with the local community.”A walk with Baboons” brings you closer to these monkeys which are feared in most other parts of the country.
    Return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Nairobi via Lake Magadi.
    Lake Magadi is one of the world’s most saline lakes. Occasionally a flock of salt water birds will be found in the shores of the lake including flamingos, a variety of storks and pelicans.
      On arrival in Nairobi you will be dropped at your hotel.
